Decision Logic employs 100% Microsoft technology in our solutions. Although the technical merits of Decision Logic are second to none, the technical resources required of the Multi-Unit Operator to maintain Decision Logic are minimal. The Decision Logic solution has purposefully been designed to allow ongoing user maintenance to be accomplished by multi-unit operator resources with limited IT skills, typically coming from the operations or purchasing departments. Decision Logic has two, small footprint, software components that run locally at each restaurant. The first is a Microsoft certified browser, while the second is a smart-client application known as "UDT2" that enables automated, unattended, bi-directional transfer of data.
Customer databases are backed up nightly with a 5 day rolling backup to the dedicated backup server. Customer databases can also be backed up from the dedicated backup server to Datavault. All of the Decision Logic customer facing servers are Dell systems with Gold level support contracts. The support agreement specifies that the systems are supported 24 X 7 X 365 with a maximum 4 hour replacement time if a component fails. All customer facing Database servers are RAID 5 for the data drives and Raid 1 for the OS drives. Each customer has a dedicated virtual web server and three virtual warm spare web servers are maintained at all times. Load determination for the data servers is determined by customer size and modules selected by the customer and scaled accordingly.
Decision Logic is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, with competencies in Advanced Infrastructure Hosting, and ISV (Independent Software Vendor). We are also an SPLA partner with Microsoft in Good Standing. Our customer facing databases are Microsoft SQL 2005 (64 bit) on Windows 2003 R2 Operating Systems. Our SPLA agreement from Microsoft entitles Decision Logic to an unlimited 24 x 7 customer down support line. Our Gold Certification entitles Decision Logic to premium access to both MSDN and Technet. All customer specific code, and Microsoft Source Safe directories are backed up both locally to a dedicated backup server located in our secure server racks at Co-Sentry, and offsite through online backups with Jelecos utilizing their Datavault system (http://dv.jelecos.com/). Internally we utilize Microsoft System Center 2007, to monitor internal systems.
